We in NYC got an ad in Survivor 49.4 preceded by a “not anything to do with CBS or Survivor” disclaimer. It was an @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social ad where the tribe voted off Cuomo, ending with “didn’t we vote him off already.”
I loved it.

One thing Star Wars and The Muppet Movie have in common - the dude who designed the movie poster.

Toby Talbot brought unmatched passion, intellect & taste to the NY film scene. Our effort to bring back the Metro & restore a wider range of art film exhibition to the neighborhood is in no small way inspired by the legacy of Toby & Dan. She will be sorely missed.

Illustration of Jordan wearing an astronaut suit labeled NASA Jordan flashing a peace sign in space with the Earth behind her.
My amazing illustrator client @sonyaafnan.bsky.social just sent me this piece she drew of me as an astronaut. I’m obsessed! I’ve fully embraced my inner space nerd. Still manifesting representing an astronaut’s book someday!
If you aren’t following Sonya, start!
Kirkus Reviews writes "The author explores the complexity of anger—honoring its validity without dismissing accountability for one’s actions—in a way that’s artful and immersive. Deeply cathartic; balances emotional depth with engrossing suspense."

Preparation for the Next Life is a good movie that came and went in a week in NYC but is worth finding. Full review link here.
And I’m also a fan of The Long Walk.

AHH! @grubreport.bsky.social is a NYT BESTSELLER! I always knew that this day would come for Stephanie. She's a true kidlit talent. I'm proud to have been a part of her journey to the list with this book. Congrats to @laancham.bsky.social & @alexborbolla.bsky.social for bringing this zombie to life.

One of the year’s best movies

Longtime Washington Post baseball writer Thomas Boswell with the Hall of Fame case for Davey Johnson.
My only quibble with Johnson - he was the guy at the top as Gooden and Strawberry spiralled down.

Felix! Taking even a set against Sinner is good. It’s only the second set Sinner has lost in the US Open in six matches. Felix’s Canadian colleague Dennis Shapovalov is the only other person to take a set.
Felix have two more??
not gonna complain to have Stephen King sharing my opinion on violence ODing in comic book movies

Almost fifty years calling matches, and I put ESPN on full screen and completely ignored everything else to give the grand send off my full attention. Tomorrow 7 EDT the final match he’s calling. The network gave no more or less than what he’s earned - and the “no less”
is the important part.
In between matches today, ESPN went above and beyond in a tribute to Cliff Drysdale, their original tennis announcer from 1979 and one of their first announcer hires for anything. And he and Fred Stolle with their wee hour tape delays from the Aussie Open huge in getting me more in to tennis.

I’m also a big and longstanding Alex de Minaur fan from early in his career and would’ve been happy to see him advance, but FAA is a player I stumbled across in the qualifying. Where he lost🤔 but still impressed. Seeing him in a second major semifinal is extra sweet

Fritz just bangs away from the baseline in his effort to defeat the GOAT but don’t you want to make the old GOAT run his ass off left and right and up and back from the first point? Isn’t that what Andre would’ve done?
It was quite the agenting month back in 2022 when these two books sold. NOT LIKE EVERY DAY took three years to sell.
Proud to have been a part of bringing both of these books into the world.
Congrats to @grubreport.bsky.social and all involved. Go pick up both books now!
My amazingly talented client @bretshuford.bsky.social of @broadwayhusbands.bsky.social was just diagnosed with HLH & T-Cell Lymphoma. Please consider donating to support his beautiful family in this uncertain time.

to clarify fewer than 200 nominated and around 300 on the final ballot. A few fan categories had around the same number of final ballot participant. This category was way at the bottom for participation in the pro categories.
