so many illustrations make them look like people with animal makeup. it guts half of the horror. Utter tragedy

if i were ever in charge of creature design on say , some kind of adaptation of island of dr moreau, i'd find a plastic surgeon and ask them how They would turn a puma's face into a person's. and then go from there
