I can relate to this.

There is a strong strain of this in the Indian left and it’s part of the reason we can’t fight fascism effectively at home.

There are genuinely, universally anti-imperialist people out there but they get drowned out by the shitheels described in this quote:

What is the price of ‘the cause’?...And who gets to decide who pays that price? The Iranian regime can murder people in their tens of thousands... yet...it continues to convince so-called anti-imperialists that, no matter the scale of repression, the Islamic republic is on the right side of history.
