Symptoms Legionnaires' disease often starts 2 to 10 days after contact with legionella bacteria. It often begins with the following symptoms: Headache. Muscle aches. Fever that may be 104 Fahrenheit (40 Celsius) or higher. By the second or third day, other symptoms can start, including: Cough, which might bring up mucus and sometimes blood. Shortness of breath. Chest pain. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Confusion or other mental changes.

Legionnaires' Disease can be fatal. If you live in NYC, particularly in/around Harlem, watch for flu-like symptoms. Swift treatment with an antibiotic makes full recovery a lot more likely. This is not one to mess with/play 'wait and see'.

Legionnaires' Disease is transmitted through breathing water vapor or coming into contact with soil contaminated with Legionella pneumophila. It does not spread person-to-person.

Cooling towers are often implicated in legionella spread--the exact same thing happened exactly 10 years ago in NYC.

The results of DecodeME, the biggest study on ME/CFS every conducted, will become available on Wednesday 6th August.

A lot of patients and researchers (us included!) look forward to seeing the DNA data.

I wondered if it would be possible for charities to commission fully paid artworks or photos and hold them in a ready to use royalty free collection.
Obviously people could also donate free images.

If you mention a health condition, it definitely weakens your prospects if you hope to continue or return.
