NEW: Dear Washington Post journalists, I’ve written this for you.

Last year @theguardian.com gave away our news title & binned 100+ journalists. It sucked!

But we fought back & you can too. First a strike, then a new masthead @thenerve.news Fuck Bezos. There is another way πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

6) Dr. Bosch's study hints at a subgroup of ME/CFS patients that may not have the "classic" cardiovascular orthostatic intolerance but a problem with cerebral blood flow. This could explain why standard tests sometimes show nothing, while symptoms are highly debilitating.

This is IMO important. Every study needs to be replicated before we can assume certainty.
Haven’t we also seen a similar yet opposite study that showed (some samples of) mitochondria from pwME were equally capable of energy reproduction?

Like so many said from the start, because this is not new, but the defining feature of this era is to never listen to people who predict things accurately, and instead promote the people who got it completely wrong, and health care is no different at that.

"I think trying to settle Mars is probably a terrible idea. And that’s OK, because we have got a pretty awesome planet already: Earth. We aren’t taking very good care of it, but that could change. For me, that’s what Star Trek is all about."

By the time Starmer is replaced this summer, we'll have had two wasted years, in which a country crying out for transformation instead got more of the same, or even worse where environmental legislation is concerned, and a high possibility of Farage running the next government.
Thanks Keir.

A publisher who lays off a reporter whose pen is freezing because she's covering a frigid war zone while dodging missiles is not an editor you want to work for, in a more perfect world

Does anyone know whether you need a valid ticket or if there's someone you should contact if you see something that doesn't look right while on board the Eurostar?

I've not been told this whole journey and it's starting to worry me.

I haven’t been back to check since either. I do recall there was an article or study you were working on that I was very interested in.

Hi Daniel.
You posted some important announcements on X on that day, I seem to recall?
I know that around 1000 of the ME and Long Covid community have made this their more permanent social media.
I only saw your post on X by accident. Can’t stand the place as #pwME and #pwLC just get trolled 😬.

If Reform ever wins power in Westminster, it will be because of Labour’s cowardice | George Monbiot Starmer could improve our unfair electoral system to stop the hard right, but he won’t. All the party has left are threats about β€˜splitting the vote’, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

In this week's column I seek to explain Keir Starmer's flat refusal to change our electoral system, even though its gross unfairness could put Reform UK in power on <30% of the vote. The reasons, I believe, are deeply cynical and disturbing. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Palestine Action protesters not guilty of defence firm burglary The group are cleared of aggravated burglary over the alleged raid at an Elbit Systems warehouse.

Pleased to see the jury make this decision.

We need to have eyes wide open this is exactly why the Government wants to abolish juries.

People protesting against a genocide are not the criminals here - it's the politicians who continue to provide cover.

Barrister's powerful speech at Filton Trial reminds jury of its right to defy judge Starmer and the media need convictions to justify Palestine Action's proscription as a terrorist group. Rajiv Menon KC spells out to the jury why it is a vital last defence against government tyranny

If you are baffled by why the jury refused to convict the Palestine Action defendants, it's because – unlike them – you didn't hear the actual evidence. You heard what the media wanted you to know.

Here, I explain what the jury learnt from the trial: jonathancook.substack.com/p/barristers...

The UK government pinned its case for declaring Palestine Action a terrorist organisation largely on the trial of the so-called Filton Six, claiming they had proved the group to be violent.

A jury today found none of them guilty of any of the charges.

This may look really boring - but it's part of the reason why the government is always short of cash for the NHS, for schools, for the criminal justice system etc.

HMRC stated that in 24-25: "It costs just half a penny to collect each pound of tax revenue"

They need to hurry up with recruitment.

I feel that the word β€œdebilitating” needs to be in every definition of PEM.
PEM is IMO β€œOutside the sphere of human experience”, a phrase I personally use to describe PEM to people who don’t have ME, that I thought Ed Yong had originated.
Turns out he never actually said that, at least not about ME.

This article is getting a lot of shares on SM, but it is almost impossible to find by browsing the BBC News website.

It's not in "Health", and although it's tagged as "Local News - England", it's not there either.
