We've been working on something special for you, GDLibrary: a completely free library for Godot devs

Think of it as your go-to place whenever you need help: tutorials, guides, a glossary to look up terms, and open source demos and assets to use in your games!

Here's a quick peek at what's coming.

learning to put together a lil' static site using 11ty and Cloudflare Pages. I don't have the skillset for styling it (yet), but for now I'm happy to be able to push a change to Github and see it reflected on the site in <10s ๐ŸŽ‰

Thank you for the explainer ๐Ÿงก. Fascinating how tightly regional it is. Looks wonderful though, wish there were more available in English!

I'm currently travelling up the coast of Western Australia and the landscape is begging to be used in an open world game

Yeah, that's one I'll file away for the future. Just flipping the thinking from keeping the node static to moving it around and taking advantage of its transform is really innovative. Well done to you and your friend :)

Reddit - Dive into anything I'm working on a top down 2D game and I'm learning to code with the gdquest free tutorial website but it's still new to me.

This post may help! I think I had the same issue when first using Dialogue Manager a while ago but haven't seen it recently.

In my day job/career I'm a scientist with long term academic and industrial experience so if you have questions for gamedev regarding real science (or just science-y questions in general) I'd love to help!

Crocstopher by FIFOgamedev Play in your browser

For our most recent NT Game Designers game jam the theme was 'one button'. I tried a few mechanics out but eventually settled on trying to make a little animated story as a way of learning the animation player in #godot. You can play it over on itch!

Similarly, one of the genuinely great websites for starting (and continuing) to learn Godot is Kids Can Code.

I go there at least once a month and every time I silently think "heck yes I can'.
