It’s wild to me that so many people who don’t watch sci-fi or never heard of Westworld use generative AI videos like they’ve invented artificial life. Or worse they didn’t watch the show or movie because it was unrealistic. Now we are stuck with talking gorilla videos people think are real. 😂

I really loved the two seasons of The Bear. Seasons 3 and 4 feel like forced film studies in dysfunction.I thought it was a show about working in restaurant in Chicago. It is a show about artistic display of mental health, bickering, drawn out family drama and occasionally about food. 🥪

I think what I liked about the first Accountant is that he was just a man, an assassin who happened to be on the spectrum and it made him good at it. The sequel is trying to stretch this out to a bro reunion and peek into his life is dragging on with clumsy references to neurodivergence #accountant2

Finally got around to watching the Accountant 2, after having enjoyed the first one immensely. I’d give this one a C. I can’t quite put my finger on it, maybe it’s the writing or it’s the pacing. Too much dialogue and needed more action. I did enjoy watching Ben Affleck line dance, that was fun.

Reminder that I AM LATINA AND PROUD. I am the product of immigration - my grandmother was undocumented and entered the country from Mexico as a baby. My mother was a fierce, gorgeous Latina woman of Mexican and Spanish descent.

There needs to be a masterclass on how Tyler Perry was able to turn trauma and stereotypes of specifically Black women into a things that the Black community loves. I’m not his audience and that’s ok. Is it because he donates money? he gives newcomers roles on his platform? I don’t get the appeal.

The state of America is such that it has people turning on their own communities for money to deport them, claiming slavery didn’t happen and that Harriet Tubman wasn’t a real person. Some are bots sure, but most are being funded by groups who want to divide communities. Just really sad.
