I used to think we would face collapse because not matter how valiantly our team pulled together, the institutions just wouldn't be able to stand the stress of climate change and infinite growth. Now I see it is because they are actively being torn apart like toddler throwing a tantrum.

If the T-republicans are allowed to pull this off- our economy will probably contract by 25-30%. I don't think we have ever seen a recession that deep. It is truly a rape of America for all she is worth.

When this money goes to the rich instead (as tax breaks), it gets squirreled away in offshore accounts and does not get recirculated in the economy, leaving even those who do not (usually) need direct government support hurting.
