Dabbled in making dolls from a cute book called 'Knitted Animal Toys' by Louise Crowther 🐭

Instead carrots on the cardigan, I went for chilli's.

Used various acrylic 4-ply yarns - a bit of a 'stash buster'.

After a trip to Belfast, I came home with three balls of discounted mohair yarn (£2 each!).

This boat-neck, long-sleeved top is from a nelsknits YouTube tutorial. Love the result, but now I’m impatient for cooler days to wear it.

A small knitted mouse toy made from random scrap yarn. The original pattern called for a carrot on the cardigan (it was originally meant for a bunny) but I thought chillies would make her more spicy 🔥🐭🌶️

A few of year's ago I was commissioned by a close contact (my mother) to create a vest inspired by #Missoni (see last image). I managed to find a wonderful gradient yarn called Star Ruby by Cotton Kings (found on Hobbii) that matched the original reference photo.

This project was worked on during my daily commute last year and took a month to finish. The pattern is from the 'Second Book of Modern Lace Knitting' (modern when it was published in 1972) and it is the Thistle Design 'Balmoral' 🧶

A taupe-coloured, cropped jacket. The buttons are a bit asymmetric (which I don't mind). Just what I was looking for really!

#Thrifted a £1 Shein jacket as I thought it had potential...

It didn't fit perfectly so I improved the fit by adding:
- more buttons/button holes with my sewing machine, which also meant raising the collar
- press-studs under the collar for structure

Still waiting for Charli xcx to release her European tour dates as I managed to miss out on every single UK one... Either way, I made this last year during the height of BRAT summer (yes, a toasty 100% acrylic jumper lol) 🧶

The first knitted project I ever finished was this acrylic mohair scarf back in the early 2010s. Picked up the yarn for £3 on a trip to Llandudno with my mum and grandma. Took ages to complete but it is probably one of my prized creations keeping me warm in winter 🧶😄

Next time I'd add some thick interfacing + trim down the 'wadding' near the edges

Received an old St. Michael (M&S) wool-cashmere coat with two issues: 🧵

1️⃣ Size 14, way too big.
2️⃣ Full of moth holes. 🕳️

Couldn’t sell or donate, so I repurposed it using a 60s pattern. After two weeks, here’s my new cropped jacket! Learned a lot (lining is tricky)

Last year my #sewingmachine decided to only sew backwards. Then I found a Brother by a bin (🙂) but that ended up being broken (🙃). Treated myself to a cheap overlocker on Facebook marketplace... Also broken. Now here I am: £200 lighter with an overlocker in my home. Excitement awaits! #sewsky
