I really hope people advocating to ban kids from SM read this. Some kids are isolated by disabilities or circumstances. Furthermore, some kids grow up in abusive households. “Ideally, a child’s exposure to online worlds should be moderated by their parents” isn’t a reassuring sentiment for everyone

I tried watching Proper Films tonight and couldn't focus on. Them at all so I watched John wick 3 instead, it is the level of complexity appropriate for how good the brain is working atm.

Art doesn’t take talent. It’s skill. Skill that you cultivate and shape how best suits you.

You want to make photorealistic fine art? Yeah that will take time and work to achieve. But you’re also an artist when you doodle, when you sketch, when you make bad art that doesn’t meet your expectations.

Oh no, art is only for commerce or for attention, which at this point, is also commerce. There is no personal practice of art, no intention, no urge to express. They just want to participate in what they see as the production of content, so personally I don’t think they deserve any art at all.

I am certain that whenever someone posts about “gatekeeping art” or whatever, they’re talking about posting drawings online for clicks. They never mean arranging rocks in the back yard. They never mean whistling to yourself and finding a tune that makes you happy. They never mean napkin doodles.
