In honor of Sean Paytons sack/fumble/int metric, I looked at the rate at which QBs have <-1.5 EPA plays (so sacks/fumbles/INTs and then some) and the EPA lost on those plays. Basically X = bad plays and Y= how BAD were those plays. Goal is always top right

Team rating is Miami but his QB rating is from his play at Georgia. Im going to look into predictions based on who they play this season tho

That would be interesting to work at! I agree NW would be up there in terms of positive change

This is each QBs (who qualifies) point rating along with their teams power rating (with their point rating factored in). As you can see these ratings are from July so will be redoing them one final time before start of season but this is where we stand today

my personal power rating. Over replacement is tough in college with depth having such limited samples (or just true freshman)

Clemson WRs PFF Game Athleticism Score and YAC/Rec in 2024

Antonio Williams - 96th Percentile | 4.5 (89th/135 P4 WRs)
Bryant Wesco Jr - 94th Percentile | 6.1 (T42nd/135)
TJ Moore - 93rd Percentile | 4.8 (85th/135)

More YAC should be a massive priority for the entire offense!

Ive been fiddling with a model that shows how many points a QB contributes to their team, this is what the top 30 looks like for 2025 FBS starters. Lmk what you think in your nicest words possible!

Rate of plays that either gained or lost 1 or more expected points for the potential 2025 QB starters in the FBS. Cade Klubnik and Dylan Raiola are two QBs that id like to see generate more explosives in 2025 (not entirely on them but they are the QBs)

Maybe its because I was -23 the last time my team won a Superbowl but I do not get Eagles fans going on the Jalen Hurts comparison tour. Enjoy your championship! You only have a little bit more time before the season starts!

Looking at end of year 2024 offense/defense SP+ ratings vs. where they stand before the 2025 season. Essentially right = should be better on defense, up = should be better on offense. FSU/Michigan/Oklahoma hit some efficiency lows so just regressing to the mean is an improvement

I too am updating my 2025 preseason power ratings for the month of July. They use a consensus win total from various sportsbooks. Penn State is technically number one but that entire row is separated by less than 0.4 points

Which team will make the CFB Playoffs for the first time this season? Looking at ESPN FPIs odds plus my SOS ratings, we can see Miami has an easier P5 schedule so.... i guess will see lol Kansas State might be a sneaky playoff team

Using ESPN's season EPA data, these 10 QBs are the closest to breaking their schools EPA record. I also included the season percentile needed to break said record. Luke Altmyer is a shoe in if he stays healthy, while Kyron Drones needs an elite season to become the EPA king at VT

I know its mostly #QBWinz, but I do think a chunk of the Justin Herbert discourse is fans of the top 5-12 (honestly Burrow too) QBs seeing their QBs get vilified for needing supporting cast help while that seems to elude Herbert (Its ok if QBs need help its a team sport!)
