35 yrs later, and the new Doom games are fantastic, tech is still brilliant and its still a blast to rip and tear

Getting a smooth experience at absolute max settings with RT.
Still not as much of an expert with the Charge Blade as I was on world.....but I'll get there!

This just arrived and I love it!!!
Got to say, this is such good value for money, especially when a new game these days is £70.
This cost me £90 which included delivery. That's the game (plus some in game stuff), the OST on disc, map, patches, stickers and all in lovely packaging.

Something I really like about KCD 2 is how it handles light, and specifically.....the dark.
Dark areas are just that, properly Dark and the lighting, despite not relying on any form of RT or PT, is excellent
No light leak, light interacts with objects in a realistic way, shadows look great etc

Today has sadly been pretty rubbish. First weekend I have had nothing major on, and I've had a horrendous Migraine the whole day.
Can't game, can't do much. Pretty much spent the entire day with eyes shut listening to an audiobook and doom scrolling occasionally on a dimmed phone 😭
Picked up a new Scotch to try, and settling down to relax with some Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 for the evening.

Garage, estate, seasons, progression all in Japan and wrapped in that Forza magic.

A bit mentally drained today from work, so didn't fancy a narrative game (sorry KCD2...).
Thought I check out GT7 on the PS5 Pro that I picked up over Christmas.
Pretty damn impressed so far. I'm not a "car person" but I can appreciate the level of detail on display here 🔥

Its a heavy read on places, some advanced maths and physics that I really needed to re read a few times just to kind of understand the general gist.
If you're a fan of Interstellar, theoretical physics, space, balck holes etc. Highly recommend
I just finished reading this book.
Brilliant, and utterly fascinating.
The fact that Prof Kip Thorne stupilated that nothing in the film could break know laws of physics, and had to be theoretically possible, is mind blowing.
Ordered myself a little something......
