Surely there has to be some room for Fairytale of New York in that battle?
06.11.2025 22:59 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0J. Draper has a great video about American Girl Dolls, even though her usual focus is London. (She manages to make it be a video about London, by dint of sheer force of will.)
04.11.2025 22:45 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Adam Chase on an aeroplane looking shocked. He's wearing a baseball cap and a black face mask.
04.11.2025 22:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I see a very clear Ben with the bright colours. Not sure about the other two.
04.11.2025 22:35 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Ah. I went poking around his YouTube, because that's the only place I'm aware he posts. I'll have a quick look, because I'm curious to see what he thinks of it.
04.11.2025 22:29 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0When did this happen?
04.11.2025 22:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I've seen it in action, in the place I used to work.
04.11.2025 22:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Where a building is broken up into separate residences or offices, the building as a whole gets an eircode, and so does each individual apartment or office within, even if they all share a letterbox.
04.11.2025 22:07 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The main reason is that there are a lot of houses built to no obvious pattern, so the random system doesn't get out of sync as new houses are built. And the routing keys are also weird because the country is bilingual, so they aren't drawn from either language.
04.11.2025 22:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Taskmaster AU's studio is in Australia, but the house is in New Zealand. (It's made by the same production company as TMNZ, and uses the same set.)
19.10.2025 22:36 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0So, I'm going to have to stop reading Ask a Manager, because Alison Green openly supports genocide. What a pity.
22.09.2025 18:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I loved this, but am hurt that your discussion on "the best form of tag" never mentioned my beloved World Chase Tag.
20.09.2025 21:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Definitely. Typst's sane syntax is a massive boost.
29.08.2025 21:59 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Itโs been ten years since the publication of The Shepherdโs Crown, the last book Terry Pratchett completed before he died. Once the spine on this one was cracked, there were no more new Pratchetts to look forward to, and I know a lot of Discworld readers who were, understandably, with that sad reality in mind, reluctant to finish - or even start - this one because it felt like the final closing of a door. But I also know that Terry wanted his books to be read and enjoyed far more than he wanted them kept on a shelf. And as time passes it becomes ever more apparent how much the Discworld books reward re-visiting, perpetually revealing something new, literary gems Terry had hidden away for a second or third, or even more, re-read. Every Pratchett is to some degree an unread Pratchett, including the ones youโve already enjoyed and including The Shepherdโs Crown. So the greatest way to honour Terryโs legacy is to pull that book youโve been saving off the shelf, make a nice cup of tea and settle down to read the story he wrote for you. Enjoy. Rob Wilkins Wiltshire, August 2025
On 27th August 2015, The Shepherd's Crown, the last book Sir Terry Pratchett completed before he died, was published.
To mark the ten year anniversary, we have a message from Rob Wilkins:
Series, Jason.

10.08.2025 09:27 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Taskmaster is unusually good at giving chances to less-known comedians. If 1 in 5 are from Oxbridge, that's probably far less than other panel shows.

10.08.2025 09:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I honestly think I have watched one single episode of scripted TV ever in my life. (It was Matt Smith's first episode of Doctor Who.) I watch films occasionally. I tend to be of the opinion that plot belongs in books, and TV is for panel shows and quiz shows.

How would spicy autocomplete know how to convert timezones? Why would anyone trust it to do that? People are weird.
Be careful! They've started segments too now!
