The answer is, has, and always will be: Increase in funding to social services, education, and the arts.

Making sure people's needs are met, and they have pathways to sustainable living, as well as making sure that people are ingrained with healthy empathy and creativity is what prevents crime.

And, let's not forget, that police also tend to not even really be involved in the most expensive crime in this country: White Collar Crime. You know, the thing that they wanna keep getting away with while pointing towards an uptick in "crime" in all other class strata.

Adams has done nothing but increase police funding, even going so far as to push for COP CITY (at huge negative environmental impact on top of the incredible costs to do so).

Cops are not the solution to reducing crime; they're the proponent of a state of control.

By virtue of this, the increase in police funding is not to stop crime. Police do not STOP crime, they merely provide consequences.

Increasing police funding does not lower crime, it funds a police state. It empowers authoritarians.

I cannot stress enough the following points:

It has been repeatedly proven that bolstering social programs and services as well as funding to education reduces crime, because it provides proper pathways towards sustainability.

Want less crime? Lower rent and increase wages.

But this is so hinged!
