I've been getting back into the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series after many years, and the most relatable part is how everyday objects like doors and elevators have been imbued with artificial intelligence and it just makes them obnoxious and frustrating to use and everyone hates it.

Some studies show a higher rate of autism in children whose mother used paracetamol when pregnant, some don't. That seems to be what we know at the moment. We can't say prenatal paracetamol use causes autism, we can't say it doesn't. Should we do more research - definitely

I hate the snobbery implicit in this viewpoint. There's nothing wrong in the principle of asking people what they think. Having an opinion shouldn't be the preserve of think tanks or professional commentators. That said when journalists are out asking questions most people are out at work.
