I have a couple artists helping out, one on the new character and another on the new starting screen. So for me it's off to the Godot mines

I can say this was the case for me. I likely would not have practiced 3D modeling and learned how to use game engines to the same level w/o Mtion to bridge the gap between what I knew and what I wanted to make when I started in 2022-2023.

I'm going to sit down in my calendar and plan a couple 3D modeling and casual gaming streams now, so I actually get around to them. Hopefully having so much to show will be motivating!

I have reached the 'skeleton crawling on the sidewalk gif' portion of my project, which means it's almost done OR I bit off more than I can chew

It's easy to forget how habit-forming social media apps are even when they aren't designed for user retention, which Twitter *absolutely* is.

It was bad about this pre-buyout but now is genuinely one of the worst mainstream apps for using addictive design

IMO the answer is habit. Used Twitter very often for a while, and it took a couple tries to switch to Bsky

Also doesn't help that Bsky kinda sucks until you follow a couple hundred people you think are neat

I know I'm in too deep on the arcade aesthetic when I start recognizing the OpenGameArt arcade carpet pattern

Trying to meet new people in the Vtuber community is rough

Tried joining an open VC of new people, within 15 minutes it turned into one person wanting to type the n-word in another participant's chat 'as a joke' to see if their bot would catch it. felt very "haha, just kidding... unless?"

Is there any actually good alternative video hosting platform to YouTube, or alternative livestreaming platform to Twitch?

I want to upload things to a platform that isn't as algorithm-driven, but a lot of '(X platform) alternative!' places are just more predatory in different ways
