21.02.2026 16:13 β π 150 π 41 π¬ 6 π 5If you are wondering what words the all-male Congress found so "blasphemous" that they felt compelled to literally scrape them off the monument, they were: ''Woman, first denied a soul, then called mindless, now arisen, declared herself an entity to be reckoned.''

And there are settings (e.g., court) where it may not be helpful today. The key thing to realize is that there's an arc of how detention regimes tend to go, and we're recognizably on it.

Today once again proved that everyday citizens protesting their government are braver than the titans who own the largest media corporations, run the biggest law firms and lead the most powerful technology companies.

01.01.2026 18:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You're right, it barely scrapes metadata--I use it at the beginning of my process, so I'm inputting that manually (since I'm pulling pdfs of docs I copied in archives). And yeah, useless as a draft manager, I think. It does detect dupes now, fwiw, but doesn't sound viable for you.
01.01.2026 18:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0huh, I just drag and drop pdfs from my desktop--but depends on what other kind of info you want to import, I guess. Hope you can find a system that works for you and your workflow! It's so stressful to feel like your research is getting away from you.
01.01.2026 17:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If it's helpful, check out Papers (papersapp.com). There's AI bs, but it's not forced on you, and it holds about 50,000 research pdfs for me, with tagging, note taking, foldering, and search. It's meant for team science work (I think) but I use it for solitary history writing. Pretty cheap too fwiw
01.01.2026 16:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fuck off, 2025.
But huge high five to everyone who pushed back against fascists and bigots and will continue to do so in 2026 and beyond!
We are going to win.
All these fascists bound to lose.
I donβt mean to sound extreme, but I donβt think we should have torture camps for people with criminal records either.
