I still think you are confusing "proprietary" with "commercial".

GPLv2 allows "tivoization" which GPLv3 prohibits.

This has nothing to do with commercial use, though.

This is such a pervasive misconception about the GPL.

What do you mean? Commercial use is allowed and the FSF encourages it.

Do you mean proprietary usage? This is not the same as commercial.

It's only a single repository and only the AVR based modules are GPL3.0 (which I don't think Behringer has cloned yet? if they have we have the right to their code)

Afaik MIT license does require attribution, but who is going to enforce that?

Plugdata requires OpenGL, which will only work if you do GPU passthrough.

Just heard a story from a friend who works in a different company. Apparently, they judge their dev team's output according to the number of lines of code they write. Amazingly, one dev recently got in trouble for his optimisation work, which removed a few hundred lines.

You can't call it opensource until it is in fact opensource.

I understand that they have voiced their intentions to do this eventually, but right now it's about as opensource as OpenAI ..

Cardinal 24.12 running a demo project.

Together with DISTRHO we released Cardinal 24.12 today!
Many bugfixes (mostly AU/macOS) and a lot of updated modules.

We now have over 1280 modules included!
