He is also named Julian, he's an Australian that set up the NK space in Berlin with his then wife, I think he lives in Portugal now. We haven't really spoken in a while.

History Of Electronic Music class update: In a short review of DJ Assault's Tear The Club Up one student wrote:

The bass player of my old (though I guess we're still going) noise rock band broke his leg, his girlfriend called to say he was in the hospital on a morphine drip, so I went to the BRI with a walkman and a copy of loveless. He said it was like being on a boat in a really nice storm.

If my memory serves me right it was an early incarnation of Mutant Zones that cause me and Textbeak to become friends. Which is nice and cool. So thanks!

When I was at my poorest I was living on 2 Euro a day. I could get a big tin of lentil soup and two bread rolls and a beer. The windows didn't hold heat in. I would scavenge wooden pallets and broken furniture for the fire from the streets. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone ever.

I can't do it now though, I have to go play semi-improvised acid techno to people at dinner time in a bike repair shop while coping with a raging hangover.
