Before or after the game?
13.02.2026 18:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Horrible way to go out
13.02.2026 18:10 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And I think it's an inherently flawed one.
13.02.2026 17:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hell yeah
13.02.2026 08:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just because the league has been around for the last 75 years doesn't mean it will be for the next.
If you give the best players to the best teams then the bad teams stay bad forever and those franchises just fold.
Imagine what the last 5 years in Memphis would have been like without Ja.
You mean besides the rules that are currently in place that you have proposed to get rid of?
I'm sorry friend but I don't think your plan is very well thought out.
The draft lottery is the worst system to distribute talent, except for all the other ones
If we can get rid of the gold standard we can have British bears from Peru
13.02.2026 07:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Damn, just got the boot from my side hustle teaching gig. If anyone knows of any Adobe tool or marketing adjunct jobs HMU!

So every team in the league would have two stars making 98% of the cap and everyone else on minimum deals.
You're never getting the players union to agree to that.
So you're not just getting rid of Rookie scale contracts you are getting rid of current max contracts as well?
13.02.2026 07:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The draft lottery is the worst talent distribution system, except for all the other ones.
13.02.2026 07:08 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Except that the best teams would be getting better (Milwaukee has Victor instead of Lopez) and then they trade out Chris Middleton for Cooper flag.
Meanwhile San Antonio sucks indefinitely.
That system just freezes the standings in place forever barring injury luck.
They throw a max at him, have Giannis Victor and build a dynasty for a decade.
Wait a second if you get rid of the rookie scale contract, you are essentially getting rid of the draft right?
And what happens to the teams that are bad?
Look at the Pelicans this year for instance they're not sucking on purpose they just suck.
Do they get the 15th pick?
So in 2023 you think we should have given Victor Wenbanyama to the bucks?
13.02.2026 06:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Listen I'm a Blazers fan, I get it, tanking isn't fun to watch.
But watching a team suck on accident for indefinitely with no hope, is much worse than watching it lose on purpose for a year or two.
Okay so you have an eliminated tanking but you've got less of it, what do you do about the crappy teams?
Look at the Pelicans this year for instance, they don't suck on purpose they just suck. What's the avenue for teams like that to get better?
Are they stuck with the 15th pick forever?
Sidy Cissoko gets the steal and save, then Scoot Henderson finds Heat Czech in the corner for three

13.02.2026 05:43 β π 85 π 8 π¬ 2 π 2OKC's loss tonight means the Pistons enter the All-Star break atop the overall standings. What a story
13.02.2026 06:05 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0That's not in any way an answer to my question.
Do you think the Kings try to win that playing game or do you think that they tank?
So Oklahoma City gets the first pick?
13.02.2026 06:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I had a similar idea, once a team is eliminated from the playoffs their season is over.
No more gate receipts no more game checks.
That will put an end to tanking real quick
And by the way nobody this season has been eliminated from the playoffs yet, so it wouldn't have impacted what the Jazz or the Pacers are doing.
13.02.2026 06:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The very first bullet point incentivizes losing, teams would just do it earlier in the season.
13.02.2026 06:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Funny that you mention the Kings, in 2023 the Sacramento made the play in.
If they win they are in a seven game series against either Oklahoma City or Denver, which they have no chance to win. If they lose they get Victor Wenbanyama.
If you're a Kings fan what are you rooting for?
