Listen I'm a Blazers fan, I get it, tanking isn't fun to watch.

But watching a team suck on accident for indefinitely with no hope, is much worse than watching it lose on purpose for a year or two.

I had a similar idea, once a team is eliminated from the playoffs their season is over.

No more gate receipts no more game checks.

That will put an end to tanking real quick

And by the way nobody this season has been eliminated from the playoffs yet, so it wouldn't have impacted what the Jazz or the Pacers are doing.

The very first bullet point incentivizes losing, teams would just do it earlier in the season.

If they win they are in a seven game series against either Oklahoma City or Denver, which they have no chance to win. If they lose they get Victor Wenbanyama.
