Flynn wakes up in the mainframe and mostly doesn’t question his existence/identity. He’s just like okay, this is weird and gets on with orienting himself to his new world.
09.08.2025 01:00 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Surely I’d be interested and have questions because like it’s never happened before.
But I don’t think I’d be intrinsically distressed/weirded out that I don’t have the meat shell that I presently have. Or be concerned about my “identify”. I’ve always liked TRON, the original, for this.
Which is why I’m always weirded out by the Freaky Friday/Robocop/Destiny-exo trope: “you’ve just woken up in another/robot body and you are freaking out, ripping your face off”. I honestly think if that were to happen to me, I’d be mostly okay with it, given that sensory input is nominally wired.
09.08.2025 01:00 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I’ve always hated “fresh” pictures of myself, though older pictures of me I find comforting/nostalgic. A picture needs to age like a year before I start to not feel weird about it. And it’s not really a “gender” thing or even that I wish I looked “different”. I think any “shell” would be as good.
09.08.2025 01:00 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0For as long as I can remember, I’ve never felt “attached” to my body, never rising to a level I would describe as “physical dysphoria”, but always there in back of my mind. I sometimes catch a glimpse of a reflection of a reflection and don’t always immediately recognize myself…

08.08.2025 14:24 — 👍 5 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0A tweet of mine from 2021 that reads I just turned down a job making a bunch of generative pixelart NFT avis for $1,000,000 It was a hard decision, my stomach is in knots. But NFTs hurt the planet, and create artificial scarcity. If rich people want to give me money, hire me, I work for a living. Please send hugs
This tweet aged gracefully. In 2021 I was asked to do NFTs. 4 weeks of work for $1 million. I got harassed for months by cryptobros for saying no. The project went ahead without me and the offer was legit.
NFTs were and are a grift, peddled by the same techbros as AI
My new sale is called "40 pixel fonts for 40 dollars. That's it, that's the sale."

Update on my pixel art guide for beginners:
Transferred all the information from Tumblr to a Google Doc, so anyone who doesn't have a Tumblr account can now read through the whole thing!
I also updated quite a bit of information too.
I hope it will help somebody!

One reason Night of the Meteor is taking so long to develop is because every character gets their own custom animations. 😎
If this game had been made in the early ’90s, it would've taken dozens of floppy disks or several CDs.

There is a throwaway in the Jimmy Stewart film Harvey (1950) that feels more and more relevant, the older I get.
"People are people, no matter where you go"
Like it was something we didn't, like, *take pictures* of ourselves back in the late 90s ??? And here is this documentary that has *so* many photos and home films from these European settlers trying to get away from "modern" society (in 1930s mind you) by moving to this uninhabited island.

By that I mean, its difficult for me to *not* see the correlation to how people *feel* about the "modern" age. I saw a post the other day that was a video from a Beastie Boys concert in '98/'99 and there were so many comments about "Look, no cell phones, no selfies, just people in the moment"

A little white dog with floppy black ears and spots, and brown around the sides of their snout sits at at an apple cider stand. It's surrounded by muted autumn foliage, a pumpkin, and a sandwich board that says Fresh Cider with an apple drawn below. The stand is wooden, with some lights hanging from the awning. There are apples stacked behind the dog, some mugs to their left, and a big dispenser for cider. There's a little wooden stool for patrons too.
Day 6: Danish-Swedish farm-dog. I had two ideas so decided to just do both. ☕

As a kid who grew up in the 80s amidst the backdrop of global Mutually-Assured-Destruction, and later through the “War on Terror” surely someone in the fledgling alliance would have been pushed to the breaking point of saying “you know, we *got* the plans back home, we could just build one!”
