I think that, in a time of rising fascism, unity and decency are mediocre political goals. I know they are "relatable" but they are tame. I think that "dignity and equality" are far better. Both have a basis in law, both can be quantified, and neither ask the abused to make peace with their abusers.

Otherwise, we’ll remake public institutions by default, not design.

Pilots → patterns → policy.

This is pivotal. Let’s treat it that way.

The UK govt is now working with OpenAI, Google DeepMind & Anthropic to “find use cases” for foundation models in public services.
It’s framed as exploratory, a test of productivity + citizen-facing improvements. But these partnerships go deeper than tools.
