Climb the tree and grab the chimes, then ring them until a path appears. Then place them down ever so carefully so that they don't ring again.

It depends. If the game is going to be role-playing heavy, minmax doesn't matter. I can work around that. If a more combat heavy game, a lone minmaxer can disrupt the balance, as providing a challenge for them can be overwhelming for the rest of the party. But there are workarounds for that too

Perhaps because Aegis-molar just doesn't have the same ring to it?

The mythology is an active background element in the World of Varan Torash. The gods' influences are present in the day-to-day life. People regularly invoke the specific god when they attempt a task. All ships carry a shrine of Bolrakunu. All smiths are clerics of Danilew. But a cool background

Well I obviously borrowed from Christianity, mainly stealing the symbols. That was inspired in part by old D&D illustrations that had clerics and paladins running around with crosses in a world where many gods were real. So Pelatash was based on that. Mori borrows a little from a Hecate and Aztec

In the center of the window are two fancy black clock hands, the larger hour hand pointing straight up, and the smaller minute hand pointing slightly to the left, threatening to strike twelve at any moment. Wrapped around the golden window's frame are several green vines, twisting around and gripping onto the window for dear life. On the sides of the window are two dark views of the night sky, made of purple and black. The purple mimicks the shape of the white figure tangled up in cursed tendrils. In these views of the night sky, there are several white four-pointed stars lined in gold. At the very top, there are two gear shapes made of the same black and red color as the tendrils and maw, and the same golden color as the maw's blood. These gears are also tangled up in vines, as if they are begging the gears to stop turning.

Pelatash's holy symbol of the dishless scales is a very common sight as it is held to ward off evil influences, both as a physical object and as signed by hand. Even worshippers of other gods will use it.

Pelatash is the god of justice, the enactment of the law, not of law itself, so he has no bearing on the rites of marriage. Those fall under several other gods depending upon the type of marriage. On the other hand his name is invoked during a divorce. Thanks are given to him at birth for protecting

Put hands on the clock and move them to match the time pealed out by the chimes. Put constant pressure on the door so that it will swing open when the chimes sound. Disassemble the building around the door.

The True and the Judges must also take rigorous exams as well as complete martial training to become clerics. The Followers of St Asa clerics are required to memorize the sermons, and martial training is encouraged but not required. The prayers for blessing & cursing are taught to all.

Followers of Pelatash need no special rite or ritual to become a follower. All they need to do is say his name and make the sign of the dishless scales (t). To become a cleric, however, requires study of the Law and its application for the True and the Judges. Clerics of St. Asa study his sermons.
