Filler should have a purpose. Filler should be used to give the reader a better peek into the mind/personality of the characters.
I ask myself this: does this filler enhance the character(s)? Does it help build a connection to them? If no, cut it.

Whether your story is 150 pages or 500 pages, as long as your story remains intact, length doesn’t matter.

The length of your story, in my opinion, shouldn’t be one of the last things when it comes to your story. Quality. Pacing, concept, characters, themes and so on.

I think I’m gonna spend the next several books just doing one offs or stand alones. Writing a series is fun because you get a chance to expand the characters but sometimes I just wanna finish it and move onto a new story

I wasn’t big on social media up until the past year and some change. It gets exhausting when you have to make multiple platforms to reach more people.
