For me, that means centering students, listening to educators, and fighting for change that prevents these practices before they happen. This requires more educators, in all spaces, leading from this lens.

I’m that educator. If you can get with that, vote for me.

I felt an exhaustion and disgust I’d never known. And it hasn’t gone away. But what I know is this: we can’t let it fade until the next racist outrage.
