Oh 100%. I'm pretty sure you're the one that introduced me to DBAN. Still a great go-to, assuming you're not scrubbing SSDs.

My youngest (12) is telling me, with all sobriety, that she'd appreciate it if we moved from USA to Europe so she can get settled in a more socially stable country before she comes of age.

I cannot tell you how sad it is to hear this from a 7th grader. Sad and motivating. I'm quickly making […]

Nobody under the age of 20 uses "vibe" in a non-problematic way. If you're over 20 and using "vibe," it's almost always to talk about something I don't want any part of.

Children, do NOT allow your parents to own excessively large external drives if they aren't going to at least encrypt the contents. And, should they decide to sell theirs, please CLEAN IT FIRST. I am now running what will surely be a multi-day scrub on this horrible thing. You... *PEOPLE*

Via eBay, I bought an excessively large external drive from an individual who 1) until recently owned an excessively large external drive and 2) posted a technically cognizant description of said drive. I assumed a certain level of competence.

Oh no. Our campsite is backed up into acres of wild Himalayan Blackberries. Invasive but delicious. If you can't beat 'em, eat 'em. #NomNomNom

If you're gross and have Gmail πŸ˜‚ you're still leaking all kinds of things to Google via Gmail. But *Il meglio Γ¨ l'inimico del bene* right? "Perfect is the enemy of good." I know I'm still making progress on this myself. I am sloooowly moving all my Gmail stuff over to @Tutanota.

Vivaldi Browser | Powerful, Personal and Private web browser It’s a web browser. But fun. It comes with a bunch of clever features built-in. It’s super flexible and does not track you. Get the Vivaldi browser for desktop, mobile, and your car!

It's pretty easy to get started. You download @Vivaldi from https://vivaldi.com, then install the extensions as you would on your current browser. Enable Proton VPN and you're done. Doesn't cost you anything and it's like browsing in a fresh spring meadow instead of a dark back alley.

1. I use @Vivaldi for my browser, which features @protonprivacy VPN out of the box.
2. I use @eff's Privacy Badger extension.
3. I use Duck Duck Go's Search & Tracker Protection extension.
4. I use uBlock Origin's ad/crap blocking extension.

I keep a lurker account for when I *simply must,* but I don't eff around with Fashbook and Instagram. Been off them for years and abstention has probably done more for my mental health than anything else. I'm also using blockers in my browser to prevent Mark from keeping tabs on me.

Thought I'd lost the link, but nope. Here you go. Highly recommended! And you should definitely make the raita to go with, especially if you're feeding folks that can't handle a little heat.

I uhhh have three. But in my defense, Indian food loves a pressure cooker, and if you're doing dal alongside your main, you need at least one more.

Made biryani in the instant pot for the first time tonight. Aside from being a little on the moist side, it was pretty dang great. Looking forward to trying it again in the very near future.

Formos Website Founded in 2003, Formos delivers software product development, custom business solutions, and development team augmentation services.

On the topic of managing product, the CEO of this company is a pretty cool guy and they're here in Vancouver. The job isn't *technically* PM, but there's a lot of overlap.

Dear Comcast/Xfinity,

Thank you for raising my Internet bill slightly in August every year so I know it's time to renegotiate the price, rather than just continue to take my $80/mo. My math says that move just cost you $300 over the next year. See you in 2026, loser!

All my love,

Ryan

That's right. Product manager has a coffee and a bullet journal and is "working" from his AirBnB in Maui. Project manager is generally unhappy that time exists. Don't forget this important distinction.

I did some light research. What you have are *Solanum nigrum*, a "garden huckleberry," which isn't a "true huckleberry" like wild *Vaccinium membranaceum* but does better in warmer climates. So it's not of the same family, but I'm willing to test its deliciousness for science.

mmmm... science.
