No mention of the Palestinians from the colonialist, genocide enthusiasts. Kill the population then take over their land and pretend it's peace.

Sounds like the government's education changes are half hearted and that they're unwilling to challenge the current data driven utilitarianism

The β€˜patriots’ who loathe Britain They claim to love our country, but want to destroy all its institutions...

I'm absolutely bloody sick of self-appointed "patriots" claiming to adore Britain while trying to destroy our national institutions – including, this week, our world-revered public broadcaster.

UK energy bills highest in Europe and public patience is wearing thin Labour promised it would save households Β£300 by 2030 but bills are still higher than before the war in Ukraine began.

UK energy bills highest in Europe.

Fuelling poverty, business costs and bankruptcies.

Ofgem pricing formula guarantees profits to all producers. Formula linked to gas price, the most expensive input. So, industry madeΒ£483bn profit since 2020.

Need price controls, public ownership.

We are constantly bombarded by propaganda insisting society is besieged by those who want something for nothing, that the poor are largely poor because they lack the will and discipline to work, that only those who do or have worked harder than they’d like to at something they would rather not be doing, preferably under a harsh taskmaster, deserve respect and consideration from their fellow citizens. As a result, the sadomasochistic element in work, which many remark becomes ever more pronounced the more the work itself is bereft of purpose and meaning, rather than being an ugly, if predictable side effect to top-down chains of command in the workplace, has actually become central to what validates work itself. Suffering has become a badge of economic citizenship, in much the same way as having a home address. Without it, you have no right to make any other claim.

Neo-Liberalism has made work - not so fun, to say the least.

The Strongman Fantasy (updated 11/24) And dictatorship in real life

Quite a few Americans like the idea of strongman rule. Essential to it is the idea that a strongman will be your strongman. He won't.

We see it so often that I think we can state this as a general rule:

Those who most loudly proclaim their patriotism will, given the time and opportunity, harm their own nations as surely as any foreign adversary.
