And in the end Democrats had to pass the ACA without GOP support so they could just as well have passed single payer universal healthcare. Why pass all the concessions they made for Republicans when, IIRK, they got ONE R vote in the House, and NONE in the Senate.

The next administration is going to to have to have everything in the White House appraised to check if it the original or a copy.

The percentage of transgender athletes at an Olympic level is even lower. So no, separate leagues just makes no sense.

To illustrate, out of more than half a million US college level athletes, there are around 10 transgender athletes. That includes both transgender men AND women, in more than 25 different sports. So having separate sports leagues means you’ll have leagues with zero or 1 athletes.

This only works if you fall for the dramatic fear mongering that there are 1000’s of transgender athletes. There just is not. How and why do you create sports leagues when there are probably single digit numbers of athletes in individual sports?

To be clear, what is down by 25% is the price of Walmart’s Holiday Basket, a curated promotional basket of 20 items. It’s almost certainly a loss leader, and the price drop is very likely a favour for Trump. What it is not is the regular price of a basket of groceries at Walmart or anywhere else.

The solution is to back off, and let each sport figure it out for themselves. There are are going to be hits and misses along the way, but every sport is different, and the governing bodies are best suited to come up with a fair approach, not politicians.

I want to see candidates for federal positions who hold very strong anti-monopoly opinions, and who are not only in favor of breaking up all these large monopolies into smaller companies, but are fierce advocates for it.

Is it too much too ask that the Speaker of the House keeps himself informed about what is going on around the country? And what his president has been doing/saying/shit-posting? Maybe, if it is too much for work him, have his press people give him daily briefings on what’s happening in the country?
