It’s day 3 and there’s still no sign of my haint bottle. While it does have personal meaning, it’s more due to folk art appreciation than belief — but I certainly hope whoever has it now really needed it and/or has the day they deserve.

I had my doc halve my cyclo dose because it was *too* good at sleep. Even at 5mg I need to make sure I fall asleep in a good position or I can wake up more sore than before I took it - sometimes I won’t move all night.

Update: Experiments with fluticasone pretreatment still a success, down to 2 layers of tegaderm, no hydrocolloid. My allergy is bad enough that I won’t risk direct contact with the adhesive, but if I can get to 1 layer of teg, I can likely tolerate the newer sensor models with the same prep method.

Update: Someone in my house reports that it was the state patrol buzzing the neighborhood at let-me-go-the-fuck-to-sleep o’clock last night. South county cops, ISTG.

To be clear, I called the airport. If they’re not screaming past the house with lights & sirens to go harass the homeless, our local PD is totally out of their comfort zone. My partner once saw our Keystone Kops haul out the helicopter to buzz a neighbor swimming in the lake with a resistance buoy.

It’s 1am & a small plane is making tight low circles between my house & a nearby municipal airport. Found their emergency # since I’d rather be the 20th person to report a problem than ignore it. I hope this turns out to be a nothingburger & everything turns out ok. 😢
