To recap: Trump is spending money Congress never appropriated to pay federal employees with guns, and cutting programs and grants even when Congress has appropriated funds.
They literally have a contingency fund for SNAP that they are refusing to use.
No Speaker has done more to weaken Congress.

This is not a legal or constitutional argument. Any loophole or work around is purely based on a corrupt SCOTUS, a compliant Senate, and a spineless House (and Speaker).

This is only to keep them from testifying before Congress, right? Or could it also prevent them from testifying before a U.S. court (or providing evidence to a federal, state, or local investigator/grand jury)?

I had security clearances for 30+ years and can't imagine being asked to sign an NDA.

Can someone smarter than me address the question of whether it's even legal to ask military officers (or, for that matter, noncoms or enlisted men/women) to sign NDAs? Ditto asking any USG employee with a security clearance to sign a separate NDA?

For the record, I sometimes tell a story about a cousin who may not technically be my cousin, but was married to a cousin. I also refer to someone as my 'second or third' cousin, when they may -- I've never mastered the difference -- be my first or second cousin once or twice (or thrice?) removed.

Until this administration willfully destroyed USAID, we had the best disaster response team in the world in OFDA, the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance.

Also, thanks to this administration, any relief effort will be under resourced—and staffed by federal employees who not being paid.
