Don’t know if it’s down to the plot mostly taking a back seat but this weeks #Pluribus was my favourite episode so far, masterful use of Gillen and his cohort utilising show/don’t tell and I was in hysterics at points

That said that ending has me nervous for next week

Is it worth a go John? I haven’t delved outside of Metroid/Mario fan hacks usually

I don’t know if I’d put much time into City Trials but the idea of a hearty solo experience (which I expect from Sakurai) is mildly tempting

The combat still has a clunky feel to it that makes me want to turn the difficulty down but I suppose that’s just me out of practice with a survival horror and forgetting combat should be a last resort.

Otherwise it feels like a more guided experience than OG

Silent Hill 2 remake trolly and gun

Gave up on the OG as, like many PS2 games I’ve tried to experience years later the fact the mechanics and QOL just don’t click with me

Thankfully I managed to pickup the gun in the remake even without the flashlight

It’s got a high bar to clear in memorably awful with that fan film Nintendo banned, going to try to watch that before this to set my expectations as low as possible

That first picture of Zelda did a nice job counteracting the first positive thing I heard about it (casting of Dichen Lachman)

Ewing is doing what he can but the massive Pink Elephant in my head that Venoms literal first appearance was absolutely terrifying MJ is always in my head when I see her stuck into this symbiote silliness

Given I reacted with rage anytime Predators quirky sidekick made a joke in badlands I’m officially worried now

Though given that film is doing (imo) shockingly well I fear I’ll be in a minority on this too, hope the rest of the game picks up

Last 4 watched sees me complete my predator list while losing all faith in the franchise, a film of the year and a film that runs out of steam by the end #letterboxdFriday

Related, while I’m a massive Ewing stan the issue of Venom online this week was an odd one for me. Mary Jane put herself in this random symbiote clusterfuck situation fighting Doc Ock and she literally never has any perspective throughout the entire sequence

Reading the current volume of Amazing Spider-man as it comes out on Marvel Unlimited really highlights to me how hard it is to be a spider-man fan these days

Completed lessons in Kirby’s Air Ridera

Having won my first city trial not knowing what I was doing lets see how I get on now

I’m not kidding look at the state of me trying to navigate near end of the 5 minutes

Me coming first by 46 mini seconds

Played 2 races on Air Ride on GC, went straight into City Trials on Switch 2 and had no idea what was going on

Still managed to come first though which…I don’t know?

My man takeaway from celebrity traitors is I would enjoy that a lot less if it was real people fighting over a potential life changing sum of money
