If they had wanted to help spread the SEND load they could have ensured private schools have a SENDCO, that they had training and therefore the majority could not refuse all children with an EHCP. Labour are not thinking about that. They are only thinking of controlling children and families.

When you say "same provision" the difference between a small specialist school and a hub in a mainstream are completely... completely different environments.

This is horrible. Imagine if they did this with care home places or children's homes. Guess what, these schools have picked up the Government's pieces. Where will these children go? A hub in a large mainstream? They have/are stopping 40 new send schools, where need was in demand.

Exactly, labels may not be helpful for this particular GP but understanding can be life changing for a patient. This "MH is in your head" nonsense is dangerous. He also mixes ADHD a Neurodivergence with conditions such as depression.
