I live in a small city that would be considered entirely suburbia and we have way, way more independent eateries than chains.

The key point is training. A therapist can roll with changes and help you integrate many things happening over weeks and months.

For example, the last three weeks, my therapist has wanted to review my goals. Something has come up every week to interrupt that. No judgement. No pressure. No deadlines

Also, stop treating your romantic partners as therapists. If you have trouble finding supportive friends, find a therapist first.

Don't let other men shame you about therapy. You are not weak, you just need someone who has professional training to help you over some rough bits.

Find a therapist. I swear, they are nonjudgemental, supportive, and will help you develop insights into your own psyche. They are specifically trained to help you find and achieve personal growth goals.

I'm nearly 60 and am in therapy and it has been a huge help!

I always appreciate hearing from the people themselves what terms they prefer.

I also acknowledge that Native Americans, First Nations and Indigenous people of North America are not homogenous and each may have a different preference that I can learn and respect.

Many of us in the U.S. prefer Native. It's our *chosen* wide term. But it's better to be more specific. If not tribe-specific, we say things like: East Coast Native, West Coast Native, SW Native, MidWest etc.

As a constituent and voter, I advocate you bowing out of smiley photo ops with the president responsible for the atrocities you listed before you brag about empty demands to a state department that will do none of it.
