Honestly, one of my first thoughts was that his 2 girls have a remote chance now to grow up thinking for themselves, not just being an extension of their parent and/or eventual spouses/partners, depending, of course, on their mother's future actions. Too soon, I know, but...🤷🏻‍♀️

My grandmother immigrated to Canada from Holland as a child, pre-war, but was always tethered to her in small ways. Yesterday, we went to Holland, Michigan for their tulip festival - a happy trip down Memory Lane, seeing the flowers, the wooden shoes, and the blue and white pattern Delftware.

Not surprised at all, sadly... but also not blaming Temu for it, because I know how tariffs work. 🫠

The point is, though, Canada DID see this 💩show, DID consider which candidate was leaning the same way, and DID vote in the best interest of the country even if they voted differently than they had before. The US was all about the "me" vote, and what the gov't would do for "me." (Spoiler: they lied)

As a proud-to-be-Canadian living in the dystopia we call the US, all the best, Prime Minister. Keep Canada strong and away from the fascist tentacles that are trying to encircle the globe from DC. Elbows up! 💪🫶
