Whilst #PQS guidance was viewed as valuable, there was some duplication and confusion. Particularly independent pharmacies found PQS workload burdensome and complex.

Those in practice felt there was a lack of feedback and impacts were not visible; frontline pharmacy teams were often unaware of #NHSE publications on PQS impacts.

PQS largely viewed as positively impacting pharmacy teams, clinical practice, and patient care. Increasing workloads across sector made focus on quality challenging.

Purpose of PQS recognised as patient safety, patient experience, and clinical effectiveness. Consistency of service provision, sustainability, and wider system integration were also considered important.

Nearly all chain pharmacies participated in #PQS, lower engagement from independents (16.5%). Income via PQS important motivator.
