Absolutely. That's what threw a bit too. But i reckon Black Gold should definitely count as the debut album.

Incredible start to 2026. If you've yet to see rhem, you're in for a treat. Be warned though, it was very loud.

Was a little disappointed with the Little Simz album. Was OK but never grabbed me like her last one or Grey Area. Might just need another listen.
New Darkside album? Was not on my radar at all. Will check it & those others out.
These would probably be my picks so far.
Mogwai & Bdrmm got the year off to a good start.
It looked like Baxter Dury would claim the top spot...

Oh yes, the Mighty Asphodells - Ruled by Passion, Destroyed by Lust ๐ช
One of my favourite Weatherall albums, can't give it much higher praise than that.
There are so mamy to chose from. But for me, Cluster & Eno, Apollo, No Pussyfooting, Another Green World & My Life in the Bush of Ghosts are all essential.

26.10.2025 12:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Eno was definitely a 5 albums discovery for me. So many great albums to chose from. Think I'm.up to about 10 of his albums now in my collection, but I'm only stretching the surface. His collaborations with the likes of Byrne, Fripp, Cluster etc are quite something...
26.10.2025 12:14 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0I did have New Order on standby but no news is good news. I take it by now we're quite safe, as we should be tbf. Eno & Byrne is amazing. And a 5 albums discovery for me from the lock down days. The other one you've voted for, I'm not so familiar with, but will need to check out ๐
