AI data centre in space being bombarded by radiation
Is Musk's plan for AI data centres in space missing physical and economic realities?
Latency - Satellites are far away
Cooling - Sun heats, cooling is hard
Power - Solar panels regularly in Earth's shadow
Radiation - AI chips are dense, not radiation hardened
Obsolesence - Chip lifecycle is short

Such an amendment (or any law, really) is useless if the institutions that are supposed to *uphold* the laws are either too corrupted, to weak, or too scared to do so. The Orange Stain has power only because the institutions that are supposed to uphold the law let him have power. Shame on the USA.

I thought it would be A, but when I actually tried it I got
"[0, 2, 1] [0, 1, 2] [0, 1, 2]".
I changed the code to three "print(f())" on three separate lines. Then I got
"[0]
[0, 1]
[0, 1, 2]"
So, clearly f() was called three times but only the last value was used.

Canadian here; We used to go to New York as a family during school vacations. Not any more. Traveling within Canada for short breaks. We canβt see returning to the US while things are as they are.

Science is not religion; one should not believe in science, one should use (and respect) science as a method for developing knowledge.

Thank you for this. Sadly, the people who will pay attention are the people who respect knowledge, and that pretty much rules out anti-vaxers. The problem we face is not lack of knowledge, itβs the people who are susceptible to ignorant persuasion. How do we change their opinions?

ChatGTP and its cousins are tremendously useful tools, but like all tools they are limited and flawed. We need better βaiβ (in quotes because thereβs really no βIβ in AI) and we need better users of AI.

Good public transit in general. Trains solve on part of the transportation problem, but we need good subway service in dense cities, good bus service everywhere, good bicycling infrastructure, β¦. Lots of Europe does this right.

I donβt know - loving something gives you passion and drive to be really good at something, and hopefully to want to make a real contribution. I would look at it a bit differently; I want to love what I do that supports me, but not be dependent on it forever.
