๐ฃ There's a new petition to Stop the Closure of Walsall Leather Museum. The building is the last example there of an early Victorian leatherworks in situ. The leather-working process is showcased, it's a much-loved local attraction. The Council has announced it will close in 2026.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of local residents, the Deal Society, Deal Town Council and the Vic Soc, councillors on Dover District Council have refused plans. ๐งต

Archaeologists from the National Trust were recently #OutintheField at Woolsthorpe Manor in Lincolnshire, where they revealed everyday objects from the site of a house built for Isaac Newtonโs mother, in a field next to the famous apple tree which inspired some of his great scientific advances. ๐งต
