31.03.2025 00:10 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It makes me nauseous I even have to think about this. I don’t know if I could literally fight; I would be more useful and more comfortable as a translator, mechanic, medic, etc. But it’s clear that if I joined up at all, should the Trumpists wage a war of expansion, it would not be for the US.

Do I now need to consider if I’d aid the war effort of Canada, Mexico, or Greenland/Denmark/EU against the USA?

That is ethnic cleansing — and it’s a war crime.
Next week, I will force votes to block $8.8 billion in new arms sales to Israel.
This is a critical point everybody in the media should be amplifying:

27.03.2025 23:11 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It’s giving “I’m not sorry we did it, I’m sorry we got caught”. It’s giving Putin and his “it’s not war, it’s a Special Military Operation”. This deadly hypocrisy and lack of democratic oversight in warfare is not new, and we have both Republicans and Democrats going back decades to thank for it.
27.03.2025 23:10 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Americans used to take it seriously that the White House needed congressional approval for acts of war. Now Congress itself won’t even mention that, no: it’s all about flag-waving “support the troops” rhetoric and protecting US (subtext: global capitalist) interests.
27.03.2025 23:09 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0with a dash of “it’s so offensive to Europe”. To me it’s much deeper. It’s the fact these insane fascists (frankly a greater threat to humanity than some scrappy guerrillas playing pirate), who command the world’s most powerful military, want to plan acts of war outside proper, accountable channels.

Nice seeing friends on here ❤️ I intend to stay camouflaged on Bluesky, so please don’t use my real name, bring up identifying info on my posts, etc. I’ve had hate speech and threats for being queer and antinationalist on FB/IG. Don’t want to let them win, but must be careful! They’re getting bolder.

Love the Serenissima; still not something to emulate. It’s etymologically the same as “Duce”, so right at the roots of fascism. Coincidence? [Me in Venice]

19.03.2025 02:59 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The hierarchical pyramid structure is the quality of most businesses they really mean to emulate. They want an all-powerful CEO/dictator, all the labor of the workers but no real power for them, and to formalize a structure that siphons off most of the value for “shareholders”, i.e. oligarchs.
