Look at that ear; at that hair. LOOK AT IT. This is obviously someone incredibly talented who's mid-way through doing something fantastic. It only looks BAD because it's half-finished.

So next time you're convinced your work is trash, step back and realize it's half-finished.

I mean, there's no loyalty there either way. Hasn't been for decades & shouldn't be. We went through this in the 90s, 00s, 10s... You can look at this as "OMG, companies will lay you off at the drop of a hat" (true) or "Periodic deadwood cleanup, now I've got a clear field to grow in." (also true)

What I got:
- The layoffs disproportionately impact white-collar professionals.
- Mid-career professionals (often 30s–50s) in management layers
- Longer-tenured employees in legacy functions
- Overwhelmingly highly educated, office-based, mid-to-senior white-collar professionals

In 2025, there have been mass layoffs at UPS, Amazon, Intel, Nestle, Ford, Accenture, Nova Nordisk, Microsoft, PwC, and SalesForce, among others. Characterize these layoffs and describe the overall demographics of the employees affected in the work force, based on what you know of these layoffs.

I mean, look. I'm no Terry Pratchett, especially when it comes to storytelling. Grammar ain't storytelling, though. I submit for consideration that if one of the best-selling authors in the world can use "she whispered" as a dialog tag, the cat's out of the bag & you might as well just roll with it.

I went through a page of Terry Pratchett at one point (from 𝑀𝑎𝑠𝑘𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑒, IIRC) and found a half dozen of those "errors" that people tell you to avoid.

At this point, every text editor—and every general-purpose text box, on computers, and on the web—should support rendering markdown natively.

I HAVE BEEN TRAINED. WHEN I TYPE "_blah_" AND HIT SEND, IT SHOULD DISPLAY AS ITALICS.
