In a way that "I copied this from stackoverflow" was/is not. At least with SO, I can be generous and assume they read the post and didn't realize there was additional context they were missing. With AI, I know they don't give a shit and are just looking to be done and not grow as a dev.

On that followup, as far as avoiding AI, other than Google search results forcing them on me and having to disable VSC's stupid chat window, incredibly easy. I will admit to a bit of schadenfreude of looking at the Google summary and laughing when it gets it super wrong.

I will never use LLM's and told my job that if they force them on me I'll leave. I am also less lenient on juniors who come to me with stuff that's wrong, and when I ask why they say "I dunno AI told me to".
