“ICE aren’t actually fearful of their safety. What they’re fearful of is not being invited to baseball games or not being invited to the pub with their friends. Community exclusion – that’s what they’re fearful of.”

The Smug and Vacuous David Brooks Is Perfect for “The Atlantic”
The former New York Times columnist is a one-man cottage industry of lazy cultural stereotyping.
Always fun to read a takedown of the insufferable David Brooks. This is by Chris Lehmann in The Nation.
I wonder if Brooks has ever read a book cover to cover.

ICE is killing and wounding us.
Holy Speaker Mike is worried someone might say something ugly to the shooters or their families.
This is your Republican Party.

@atrupar.com you recently sought input from subscribers like me on issues we'd like to see covered. I suggested State Bar Discipline Boards.
We need public scrutiny of their actions on matters like this.

The NFL Told You Why It Booked Bad Bunny
The league's own executives explained the strategy, on the record, for years. Conservative media pretended it wasn't happening.
The right-wing outrage grifters shriek about solid business decisions by the most popular singer in the world and the billionaire owners of the NFL. They try to hold their audience with Kid Rock [Suppresses a snicker].
This is why I subscribe to Parker Malloy. open.substack.com/pub/readtpa/...

Susan Collins' office refused to comment.
The article quotes the lies of DHS. People in Maine know they're liars.

A racist Kavanaugh stop.
Attacks on Somali-Americans justify attacking every Black person in the nation. Focusing on Latino people was just the first step for Trump's racist regime.

Maine shaken by ICE raids as backlash threatens Republican Senate control
Workers and unions condemn ICE operation as ‘horrific’ as pressure builds on Susan Collins, facing re-election this year
Susan Collins always feels troubled and writes sad letters and sadly votes for evil. She told Kristi Noem she's troubled by ICE goons assaulting her constituents. Nothing changed.
Collins, 73, has gotten away with this for decades. Time for her to go. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

That'll be harder with all the public stuff from the Epstein Files. I bet it would be even harder if we had all of them.

What *about* that 5-year-old US citizen? Finish the sentence, Congressman. What does that hypothetical child have to do with Liam Ramos? Spell it out. Don’t just say “but what about our kids” and stop there. Explain your logic.

An additional very important point: AIPAC never mentions Israel in its attack ads (for obvious reason) and instead hits whatever negative thing polls best.
In NJ11, AIPAC slammed Malinowski with $2M of ads for…VOTING TO FUND ICE IN 2019.
And it worked! It destroyed his numbers.
Pragmatic Dems will learn the lesson: if you vote to fund ICE or publicly defend ICE, your future opponent will destroy you with it.
If anybody has the ad handy, please post below

Rare national politics tweet, but this is WILD! New Jersey’s 11th District is:
— Very wealthy (97th percentile)
— Very educated (96th percentile)
— Very Gen-X (97th percentile)
— Very homeowner (72%)
Welcome to the Democratic Tea Party!
NYC equivalent: a socialist wins NY12.

She's 8 MONTHS PREGNANT & was kidnapped by ICE...or someone!
When ANYONE can mask up, dress as ICE & rent a black SUV, what's to stop them from just kidnapping people?
In California, we passed a law against masks & it's not being followed.
Police aren't protecting us, no one is.

To watch ICE murder people and abduct children and then have the gall to say “I totally stand against this but calling to end this could hurt our election chances.”
No, it won’t, and if you can’t stand against fascism you don’t deserve to win an election anyway.

A gray Jeep Wagoneer with an Arkansas license plate, seen from behind. A dildo with testicles is flying past the back of the car, obscuring the "N" in Wagoneer. There's a purple dildo in the street where the car has just passed. Beyond, there is a concrete barricade with chain link fencing, protesters beyond with an upside down US flag and a bunch of signs, one of which I think is accusing local law enforcement of being cucks.

This isn't about proper procedure, that's a given with this lawless Regime. Arguing about procedures as the Trump ally Tom Cotton does is an effort to hide the substance of the phone call.
The call and its contents are the crucial issue.
