16.02.2026 20:43 β π 175 π 39 π¬ 11 π 37The SAVE act will provide deeply flawed proof-of-citizenship data for the upcoming election. It is a thinly disguised platform for purging voters--and of course, if the DOJ gets voters rolls with all of the data, they don't even have to guess or use demographic proxies to target Dems in particular.
16.02.2026 19:44 β π 15 π 10 π¬ 3 π 0And I want to add that @veenadubal.bsky.social, who led this litigation, is a literal hero.
14.02.2026 15:16 β π 44 π 14 π¬ 1 π 0I believe this is Upstairs on the Square (RIP).

15.02.2026 20:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Weird not to mention the justices' contempt for lower courts. Probably just an oversight.
15.02.2026 20:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ok I see you UCLA Faculty Association and the Council of University of California Faculty Associations, pushing your university to be better and creating the space for this to happen!

13.02.2026 22:34 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0a beautifully written and powerful piece from University of Minnesota Law professor Emmanuel MauleΓ³n on the stakes of how the legal profession responds in this moment.

This is why Minnesotans are begging folks outside the state to keep talking about us.
Please donβt let the world forget we are still in danger.
One thing I wonder is how much AI apocalypse discourse is displaced climate anxiety.
11.02.2026 18:04 β π 9 π 1 π¬ 3 π 0Just amazing that this affidavit got a federal magistrate judge to approve an unprecedented federal seizure of ballots in Fulton County.
The time to prep for similar shenanigans from the feds in 2026---before ballots are fully tabulated and any recounts/contests done---is now.
Important piece on the history of the US government's ideological deportation policies in light of the outcome in AAUP v. Rubio, including crucial quotes from the courtroom testimony of AAUP-Harvard member Bernhard Nickel:

11.02.2026 00:07 β π 18 π 4 π¬ 0 π 0excited to share that I am *officially running* to represent Massachusetts state employees on the MA public pension board!
I'm running because public pensions are *ours* and should serve the interests of state workers and our communities

People should pay attention to this story. Trump actually tries his "you're fired" shtick, directly!! But it's mere words!! Because the guy has a (good) union (which is smartly making a symbol of this story)
Ford meanwhile suspended him immediately and surely would have fired absent union action
NEW: Of all the states that voted for Harris over Trump in 2024, there's only one where a Dem governor is overseeing an ICE's 287(g) program:
Massachusetts.
Other blue states have quit, or even outright banned it. My colleague on what's happening: boltsmag.org/massachusett...
One of the definitive days of this admin imo was the WSJ identifying racist posts from a DOGE staffer - the kind of stuff that would be read out loud to you as HR explains why you're not getting severance - and Vance saying no, we won't let the media cancel people anymore.
