Panel 1: "Hi! My name is Jason". Panel 2, second person: "Ah! Nice to meet, you Jason". Panel 3, the person is taking that name and trying to jam it into their brain, where there are already some squares in their cartoon head. A small rectangle says "friends", a small one says "family", and a much larger one is the Expo logo. The first person's name is squished going in, clearly not sinking in. Panel 4, second person: "Say Jarvis, wanna hear about building truly universal native apps with React ath run on Android, iOS, and the web?"
Sometimes people ask me for my opinions about React Native tech and it's basically just this.

This is an interesting detail about the v1 Bluesky mobile app built single-handedly by @pfrazee.com - which was supposed to be a proof of concept only! But became *the* mobile app.
Also shows the power of cross-platform:
1 dev
1 codebase
3 platforms (iOS, Android, web)
Using Expo!

The latest @expo.dev SDK contains SO many new things π±
To name a few:
- DOM Components
- Several new packages
- RN 0.76
- Expo Router v4
- CLI & Expo Modules improvements
- RSC
- Headless UI components
Still trying to figure out how to put all of that into a <15 min video π

Expo and React Native have been enormous enablers for us. If youβre building an app β especially a multi platform app β I strongly recommend that you put Expo/RN at the top of your list

Modern software:
Getting started with the Froob framework.
To run Froob, you can use Biddle or Sproxnut. If you use Sproxnut, you'll also want to install a Grattle-handler like Lux or Jujuba.
It is also possible to run Froob in open mode under Rattlefunk. This is preferable in some scenarios.

the amount of pure value expo has created must be astronomical. i donβt think react native would be viable for smaller companies without it. and itβs free. wild
