man i havent had any time to play anything lately. scarlet hollow on my plate, re9 around the corner along with the annual 1000xRESIST replay, AND the feminine urge to play deadlock and contemplate all the yuri it has. need to get a solid couple of days where I can sit down and knock 'em all out

i also hate that AI has taken the em-dash from us because that's what made me suspicious of this being AI. i love using the em-dash. it's sleek, it's elegant. why must AI take the coolest punctuation mark and ruin it for us.

if i wasnt already vehemently anti-AI, the AI-generated obituary for a family member of mine that the funeral home ppl just sent me would certainly do it. sort of crazy behavior to go "well, they asked us to write it for them, by which they obviously mean us and chatgpt"

this is unsustainable, immoral, and foolish. i thought one of the purported strengths of live service was that it allowed a game to grow and evolve? if one only intends to capitalize on that if your game is an instantaneous success, then why make it live service at all? the answer can only be greed

i remember playing the game during launch and it being one of the few games i actually enjoyed playing with randoms! people were very nice and chill. i was a proud and very bad mercy main.

have you tried out deadlock? it scratches a similar itch for me, even if it is of the evil genre (MOBA)

i'd still hate it though. because i just don't think it fits nia's character as presented in the game up to that point to suddenly be in love with rex. and then the scene in the last chapter(?) where rex is fighting everyone's evil ghosts and evil ghost nia's beef is that he isnt into her? eugh

i wouldn't i'd hate it so vehemently if rex did ANYTHING to deserve it. he sort of spends the entirety of xenoblade 2 failing upwards and it annoys me to no end. it boggles my mind that people love him as a protagonist and then say noah is flat and boring. like, are we playing the same game???

it sucks so bad. i like nia's snark and wit and i just HATE that she gets reduced to being another member of the ever-expanding rex harem, which is a thing that exists for some reason. but people insist it's empowering. i feel like most XC2 enjoyers ACTUALLY enjoy the fanfic they wrote in their head

much love to the trans girlies who see themselves in her but also i would hope your vision of empowerment is not having your personality diluted down to being secretly in love with a teenager and then also immediately being put in a more titillating outfit and becoming subservient to him

this is obviously entirely my own opinion but i think it's hard to see nia xenoblade 2's big transformation in the back half of the game as empowering when it exists only to prop up rex's character arc and reward him for being the Goodest and Nicest Guy Of All Time™️.
