I #SAW that.
05.01.2025 17:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And I didn't even mention my new air fryer!
05.01.2025 16:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's my birthday, I've built a snowman with the kids and a new #Bobiverse book has been released.
What a day.
It works!
07.12.2024 17:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For fooks sake.
Just found out that my motherboard disables some of the SATA ports when an m.2 slot is populated.
Guess it's time to find out how well PCIe adapters work.
Does Factorio count?
At this point, it's more like a second job.
I don't know if there's a term but I definitely feel it. Growing up in a small, crowded house, I have definitely overcompensated by buying my current house.
04.12.2024 21:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Isofix is so much better than the alternative though. We had to get a non-isofix for my mum's car and it was a nightmare to fit.

29.11.2024 12:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't add milk as I like them fairly dry (can soak up more gravy that way).
My biggest tip is to let them dry as much as possible before you mash them.
There is nothing more permanent than a temporary solution.
28.11.2024 09:29 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I love the Bobiverse books. I devoured them all in about a fortnight on the Kindle.
24.11.2024 20:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Text box in the Amazon Kindle product page: We want you to know: A small number of customers have reported a yellow band along the bottom of the display. We take the quality of our products seriously - customers who notice this can reach out to our customer service team for a replacement or refund, and we're making the appropriate adjustments to ensure that new devices will not experience this issue moving forward.
That doesn't look good.
22.11.2024 07:43 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yup, it's a lot easier to learn how to code than it is to learn how to test.
19.11.2024 15:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm currently working with a pretty large, well-known company who literally have no testers.
It's refreshing to see the developers actually care about quality.
They do have some major problems with their quality processes which I'm there to help with but they are willing to learn.
It's probably about time to do a BlueSky giveaway?
The lucky lucky winner can pick any 5 Taskmaster comic covers in A5 (small), A4 (medium) or A3 (large) sizes!
Repost this to be entered into the draw!
I'll pick a name on Tuesday night!
We do this as well.
Even better though, through your cutlery in there as well. Just don't let them get too hot to handle.
My wall calendar just came today.
I was going to give it as a gift but I might just have to buy another.

I've spent plenty of time in the DevOps space which is to say I am no stranger to YAML.
Today is the first time I've seen tests defined in YAML though.
I'm annoyed for you.

21.11.2023 17:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I signed up here a week ago using somebody's invite code.
Yesterday, I received an email (different email account) with my invite code from the waiting list.
Coincidence is a weird old thing.
One of the great things a team I was on did was have a daily 2pm Team Time call.
There was a list of topics to cover or it could be a mobbing session to solve somebody's specific issue. Sometimes we just chatted shit.
It was entirely optional but was a great way to get to know people.
I'm with Douglas Adams.
"I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by."
I tend to ignore most deadlines unless I can see a reason for it. Only once have I actually worked on a product that actually needed to be done by a certain date. Everything else π€·ββοΈ
