This poster depicts women strikers in the historic strike that led to today’s International Women’s Day celebrations. Text: In the first decade of the twentieth century, immigrant women workers revolted against the appalling sweatshop conditions in the garment industry. Italian and Eastern European Jewish women, many of whom did not speak English, launched a series of strikes that reached from New York City to Chicago and Cleveland. In 1909 the “Uprising of the 20,000” spread to 500 shops in 24 hours gaining widespread support and winning almost all of the demands voiced by the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Joined by women in the suffrage movement, they held a demonstration in New York on March 8, 1909 demanding better conditions, an end to child labor and the right to vote. Today, that day is celebrated as International Women’s Day. Sisterhood and solidarity nourished each other as these women wrote a vital chapter in both women’s history and labor history.

Forgot to post yesterday here, so here's the start of my heart.

In my meditation this morning I felt the urge to create an anatomical heart. So that's the "plan" 😅
And this will be the background of it.

And my theme is shifting too: "feeling and flowing with the Elements"

That doesn't sound like a great trainer.

I don't know how many times, when I was a personal trainer at a gym, people would come for the first time, go beast mode for a few days then have to take weeks off because they were too sore.

There's no shame in starting slow.

Remember to meet yourself where you're at now 💜

If you are not getting daily movement, and want to start, start slow!
There's no need to go from zero to 100 right away. Start with adding 1 day a week.
Once that becomes regular, add in a second day & continue to build.
