Ken Currie exhibition snippets

Hello, haven't posted here for ages, I am a bit rubbish at posting my art on the socials.

Went to see Ken Currie: The Crossing/An Turas in Inverness this week, amazing paintings!

I've been playing with some limited palettes recently, and here's a wee canvas board I painted the day after the visit.

An abstract ink painting: a red, bare-branched tree appears on the right, painted in a minimalist style. What may be a reflection of the tree is mirrored just below, although there is no water. White textural patterns appear above and behind the tree. A landscape is vaguely implied. A large black shape appears on the left, its meaning open to interpretation.

I broke the streak a bit, as I was unable to stand to finish yesterday's self-portrait, gave in, and finished it today. I like how the slight abstraction turned out.
