I’m 11 days into random August activities! Today, I read a TIME magazine. (I’ve never done more than flip through one.)

Granted it was Pokémon, but hey, still counts. 😅

Okay Sokka is kinda getting awesome.
And Uncle Iroh is still incredible.

My only questions:
- How long does Sokka suck for?
- Am I just biased, or is Zuko and his uncle the best part of the show?

Day 10 of random August activities. I’m watching Avatar: the Last Airbender for the first time.

It’s one of those shows I always wanted to, but missed out on while growing up.

So far it’s pretty good 👀

August 8th: I have braved foreign corners of the internet and finally allowed myself to buy a surplus of goodies from Etsy.

I bought so many stickers ya'll. My entire life, I've been too scared to use them. Hopefully this'll get me over that hesitance and I'll actually stick them to something. 😅

Ye! There aren’t many blood drives in my area, so I found out that my local-ish hospital has a permanent donor program in their basement.

It was very chill 🤘

It’s August 7th and I’m still doing random daily sidequests!

Today, I traded my blood for snacks and a gift card. Honestly, worth it for the cookies alone.

If you can, highly recommend finding a black market organ salesman (registered hospital) near you and doing the same!

Today I did a beginner’s pottery class! It was a lot of fun, and I got to make a scorpion bowl.🍹

I have wanted to play this mod ever since I saw that Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were the worst versions of Gen 4. 😭

I haven’t played it yet, but now that I’ve modded it onto my Switch, I am positively jazzed.

Oh, and I guess I get custom themes too.

August Adventures - Day 5

I bought a RCM jig to mod my Switch a year ago because I desperately want to play Luminescent Platinum.

I have been too scared to do it for all that time, so today was the day to do it!

3 hours of attempted modding later… it has been a battle 😅

Day 4: I meant to watch the PsychOdyssey Docuseries since it first came out 2 years ago. So some friends and I had a Discord watch party and finally started the thing!

Highly recommend for game devs, especially if you were a fan of Double Fine Adventures.

Classic Italian Rainbow Cookies! (Video!) - Well Seasoned Studio Italian rainbow cookies (tri color cookies) are so much fun to make! Thin layers of cake are mixed with raspberry jam and chocolate!

Day 3 of August means baking something new: Italian Rainbow Cookies 🇮🇹🌈🍪

It may have taken me 4x the time as stated by the recipe, but I’m finally putting them in the oven!

Although I desperately want a cookie, it’s another 8 hours of chilling before the final assembly :(

Day 2 of random August Adventures and trying new experiences!

I drove across the state to see my friends’ bands play, rather than take it easy and recharge after the work week.

They played a bunch of covers and I met some new folks at Sull Fest 2025!

So far what I’ve learned from having a matcha latte is that the first sip tastes like grass.

The second sip onwards also tastes like grass, but by the end of it you end up craving that sweet sweet green, apparently having awakened a long dormant rabbit physiology.

Let’s try something 👀

Today is Day 1 of having new experience for all of August! Big or small, I’m trying to do things I otherwise wouldn’t all month long.

Like working from a coffee shop - one I’ve passed by for months.

It was cool! I definitely appreciate the proximity to sweet treats 🤤
