they're INTENTIONALLY ASYMMETRICAL to allow for not only left-right discrimination, but also "up-down" sound orientation.

This ability lets them accurately & quickly find the scurrying mouse under the leaf mold.

Just can't get enough Vitamin C, a 20-atom superhero in our cells with a chemical formula of C6H8O6. I recrystallized it using cover slip and ended up with this plate-dominated formation on the microscope slide. If this were a high-fashion scarf, it would be sized right for a mosquito.

A six panel comic, with three rows of two panels each. Hilde the cat looks up at the night sky. She takes out her giant pencil and starts drawing lines connecting the stars, until they form the shape of a big gemstone. She reaches up into the sky and dislodges it, leaving a big white Gap where it used to be. As he walks away with the stone, a confused bat flies up to the white hole in the sky and flies through it, accidentally exiting the comic into the void on the right.
