Neil Daniel Frye, Navy sailor who died in the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, was recently identified, returned home to North Carolina, & buried with full military honors. He earned the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, American Defense Service Medal, & the Bronze Star Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.

On Memorial Day we honor the service members who gave their lives for our nation, and the loved ones who bear the burden of their loss.

That is a sacrifice that cannot be repaid. As we work toward peace, let us never forget those who have served on our behalf.

George Floyd should be alive today.

He should be raising his daughter, living his life.

5 years later, we owe him more than thoughts and hashtags.
